Celebrate the destruction of the One Ring, the triumph of the Fellowship and the start of the Fourth Age of Middle-earth at Seven Stories this Tolkien Reading Day!

The Tale of Mr Bliss

11am – 11.30am

Discover the light-hearted tale of Mr. Bliss - a children’s picture book by Tolkien and hear about creatures such as you have never thought possible.

For children aged 7+ and their families.

Dragons and Legends

1pm – 1.30pm

Step into Smaug’s Cave and hear a story of the unexplored corners of the world and the depths of time shrouded in legend. Answer the dragon’s riddles and find the treasure hidden in its cave.

For children 10+ and their families.

Wear your cloak!

The elven cloaks given to The Fellowship of the Ring by the Lady Galadriel protected them in many a pickle. Do you have a cloak that makes you feel invisible as a mouse and safe as houses? Wear it for the day! Best cloak gets a prize.
