Creative Writing Workshop: Lost in the Jungle

Creative Writing Workshop: Lost in the Jungle

Saturday 17 April, 11am - 12pm (optional story sharing from 12 - 12.30pm)

In the jungle, the mighty jungle, Seven Stories is hosting another creative writing workshop!

Do you have what it takes to survive with the bare necessities? We’ll be writing our very own survival guides as we try to escape the jungle in this week’s workshop! Get ready to work on your descriptive writing skills as we travel through the trees, but watch out! We might bump into some lions and tigers and bears (oh my)…

This live and interactive session will be led by Stephanie and Lauren from the Children’s Literature unit at Newcastle University. They're both writers and they've got tons of terrific techniques for creating characters, structuring storylines and putting pen to paper. There'll be plenty of opportunity to chat, ask questions and share your brilliant creations as part of the workshop.

Tickets are £10 per household. This event is aimed at children age 7-11 and their families. Younger siblings are welcome to join in but may need extra adult support.

This is an online event and will be delivered via Zoom.

You'll need to download the app and create a Zoom account before the session. The meeting link and joining instructions will be sent by email after booking.

Please take a look at our house rules for online events so that everyone can enjoy a safe and fun event.

Event tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable unless cancelled by Seven Stories. This still applies even if you can no longer attend because of illness or self-isolation. Seven Stories reserves the right to amend or cancel events as necessary and will a full refund in case of cancellation.
