Creative Writing Workshops

Creative Writing Workshops

The last in a brand new series of online creative writing workshops to get imaginations fired up and keep words flowing during these long winter weekends at home.

All live and interactive sessions will be led by Stephanie and Lauren from the Children’s Literature unit at Newcastle University. They're both writers and they've got tons of terrific techniques for creating characters, structuring storylines and putting pen to paper.

There'll be plenty of opportunity to chat, ask questions and share your brilliant creations as part of the workshop.

Keep your eyes peeled for new January writing workshops to be announced soon!

Saturday 19 December, 11am – The Twelve Days of Christmas
On the first day of Christmas Father Christmas gave to me, a festive writing workshop at Seven Stories! Join us this weekend to write your very own twelve days of Christmas. Put your poetry skills to the test and come up with some merry rhymes and rhythms to entertain your family on the big day. You’ll even get the chance to make some decorations to take ho-ho-home just in time for Santa Claus coming to town!

Tickets are £10 per household. This event is aimed at children age 7-11 and their families. Younger siblings are welcome to join in but may need extra adult support.

This is an online event and will be delivered via Zoom. You'll need to download the app and create a Zoom account before the session. The meeting link and joining instructions will be sent by email after booking.

Please take a look at our house rules for online events so that everyone can enjoy a safe and fun event.

Event tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable unless cancelled by Seven Stories. This still applies even if you can no longer attend because of illness or self-isolation. Seven Stories reserves the right to amend or cancel events as necessary and will issue a full refund in case of cancellation.
