Opening Hours
Opening hours are 10am to 5pm, six days a week in term time (closed on Wednesdays). We are open seven days a week during school holidays.
Entry to the museum is FREE. This includes all galleries, our independent bookshop, and coffee shop. See our trailer for a peek inside the building or take a 360 video tour of levels 3, 4 and 5.
Check our homepage for our range of ticketed events, story times, and workshops with prices starting from £2. Tickets are bookable via our website, in person or by calling us on 0300 330 1095.
Plan your visit:
- Always check the homepage prior to your visit as opening hours may vary
- There is no need to book a visit, you can pop in anytime during opening hours for free
- Browse the events for something special on your visit (use the calendar on the homepage and What's On page) and book your places (special events and workshops are ticketed).
- Don't forget to take photos on your visit and share with us!
- We really value your feedback. You will receive a survey by email after your visit and we would be grateful if you could complete it. There are also paper feedback forms available in the Visitor Centre if you prefer - just hand these to a member of staff.

Located on level 3 (street level) open 10am-5pm six days a week (seven days a week in school holidays), stocking a specially curated range of books from early years to YA.
Coffee Shop
The coffee shop and bookshop on Level 3 (ground level) are open 10am-5pm six days a week (seven days a week in the school holidays). Find out more about refreshments.

Carers have free entry to events and MAX Cardholders get 50% discount on child tickets for selected events - please contact info@sevenstories.org.uk for more information.
