The Dumping Ground follows the lives of children living in Ashdene Ridge, a fictional foster home and is filmed in the North East. This is an exclusive chance for fans to meet the stars of the show and see the first episode of the brand new series before it is aired in early 2015.

The BAFTA award-winning Dumping Ground has recently completed filming in Newcastle and is inspired by, and set in, Jacqueline Wilson’s fictional children’s home. It is the sequel to the multi-award-winning dramas The Story Of Tracy Beaker and Tracy Beaker Returns.

Neil Morrissey will play a character called Keith, who is Johnny’s abusive step-father. Having previously left his family, Keith returns and threatens the domestic stability that Johnny’s mother has created for Johnny, Tee and her new baby Hope.

Charlie Brooks joins the cast for one episode, playing alongside her real life daughter Kiki. Charlie plays Stephanie Branston in episode one of the new series, while her daughter Kiki plays a young girl called Maude. Stephanie and her footballer husband are keen to foster a child and attend a fostering day at The Dumping Ground. While there they meet Maude, who is the daughter of one of the other couples also attending the fostering day.

Series three of The Dumping Ground will continue to dramatize tough emotional stories, often dealing with topical issues but always in an accessible entertaining way and counterbalanced by comedic and irreverent stories. The ensemble cast will continue to take centre stage in this third series as the rich mix of vibrant stories combines with thought-provoking drama and the light-hearted moments that viewers of the series love.

Many of the regular characters will also be returning, including Connor Byrne (Mike); Amy-Leigh Hickman (Carmen); Joe Maw (Johnny); Mia McKenna-Bruce (Tee); Philip Graham Scott (Harry); Miles Butler-Hughton (Tyler); Kia Pegg (Jody); Reece Buttery (Mo); Sarah Rayson (Floss); Kasey McKellar (Bailey; Stacy Liu (May-Li); and Akuc Bol (Kazima). They will be joined by identical twins Toni and Billie (played by Nelly and Gwen Currant); Ryan (played by Lewis Hamilton); Finn (played by Ruben Reuter) and Sasha (played by Annabelle Davis).
