Seven Stories, The National Centre for Children’s Books is delighted to welcome two of the finest creators of children’s books on the planet – Oliver Jeffers and Eoin Colfer – for a family event this September (with their imaginary friend!).
Fans of the creative duo are invited to join Oliver Jeffers and Eoin Colfer in Seven Stories’ Attic on Saturday 24 September as they talk about how they created their new collaboration Imaginary Fred. The exclusive event promises to be full of fun, live drawing and provide a chance for visitors of all ages to ask their questions in this lively event for the whole family.
Both best-sellers and multi-award winners in their own right, Eoin Colfer and Oliver Jeffers have teamed up to create an irresistible, illustrated story Imaginary Fred (HarperCollins). Sometimes, with a little electricity, or luck, or even magic, an imaginary friend might appear when you need one. An imaginary friend like Fred. The event at Seven Stories is a rare opportunity for fans to see both stars at the same time in the North East.
A public book signing will take place in the Bookshop at 2pm. Entry to the Seven Stories Bookshop is FREE.
Oliver Jeffers is the current winner of the Children's Book of the Year Award and multi-award winning creator of picture books including Lost and Found, The Heart in a Bottle and The Day the Crayons Quit.
Eoin Colfer is the Irish Children Laureate and author of phenomenally successful science fantasy series Artemis Fowl.
