Thank You to the Ernest Cook Trust

A brilliant project was made possible earlier this year with support from the Ernest Cook Trust. Children from Byker Primary School spent their Easter holidays working with Seven Stories in partnership with Duffel Films to learn about film-making.

The children worked very hard to master skills including acting to camera, developing narrative and content, directing, editing and scriptwriting.

They also learned all about Seven Stories, investigating the building, interviewing staff and exploring the exhibitions.

The children read books by Michael Foreman exploring the themes of friendship, tolerance and understanding to create four original films for our Painting with Rainbows exhibition.

The young people completed their Arts Award, alongside producing their films, which Michael presented to them at the exhibition launch at Seven Stories on 16^th July.
