Australian author Andy Griffiths will drop by Seven Stories – The National Centre for Children’s Books this April to introduce Tyneside book lovers to his sparky tales.  Ever fancied floating around an anti-gravity chamber?  Are you brave enough to enter the Maze of Doom?  Then this is the event for you.  Visitors are invited to climb into the world’s coolest treehouse at this not-to-be-missed event full of storytelling and imagination! The 52 Storey Treehouse is Andy’s latest book in the ever-increasing Treehouse series.

Often sharing the stage with superstar Jeff Kinney – author of The Diary of a Wimpy Kid – Andy is no stranger to the zany world of best-selling books. With 28 titles under his belt, he sites his ever increasing Treehouse series amongst his favourites.  This hilariously creative children’s author is one of Australia’s most popular writers with a bonkers back catalogue of books which include wacky titles such as The Big Fat Cow That Goes Kapow, Pencil of Doom and The Day My Bum Went Psycho.

Andy is a passionate advocate for literacy and credited with encouraging reluctant readers to develop a fresh love of reading.

Families wanting to find out more Andy – never fear, he has created his very own Andypedia with everything you could ever want to know about the best-selling author.
