The Big Ideas Event is a Public Engagement Project with Newcastle University and Seven Stories National Centre for Children’s Books

12 researchers, cross discipline, used the rich art form of children’s books to explain the big ideas in their research at Seven Stories on 31st March 2015.

Researchers led creative engagement workshops with storytelling, exercises and dialogue to share their research projects.

Primary school children became co-researchers and critical friends during the day and shared their understanding of the research in filmed interviews.
