The much loved train set has had a makeover and is now back in the Story Station at Seven Stories.
Many of you will have spotted that our hugely popular train set has been missing from Seven Stories since we reopened in July 2015. Well...we are thrilled to announce that the train set has had a fresh lick of paint and has been returned to the Story Station on Level 4.
Complete with new wooden trains, farm animals and a selection of our favourite story books - our youngest visitors will be able to don a train drivers hat and enjoy learning through play. This little visitor just couldn't keep away! Possibly one of the most asked after features of Seven Stories for the under4s - the train set has been on its own journey to get a fresh coat of paint and has been lovingly restored by the father of our Chief Executive. A big thank you for his hard work! Our Collection team have done some digging and pulled out some transport themed gems from our archive in celebration of the train set's return. Head over to the Collection Blog to find out about Timothy Tramcar. Image: ‘Timothy Tramcar’, published in 1950 and illustrated by Barbara Jones. Seven Stories holds all the artwork for this awesome book about the wonder of trams!
