With only one week to go until we open our doors again after 12 weeks of refurbishment (we will be welcoming guests to launches on Thursday, Friday and Saturday before we officially open to the public on Sunday 19 July) we thought this was the perfect opportunity to give you a sneaky peak of what has been going on.
Watch Out! A sea monster has been spotted in the Ouseburn...
We hope these pirates can save the day!
Our Exhibitions Assistant keeps a watch for land from the window of our Jane Ray boat in the new Rhyme Around the World exhibition.
A whopping 1 MILE of fairy lights has been hung in The Attic.
While flying books have been spotted in Reception.
Gnomes Textile Design has been on hand to install trees for dinosaurs to live under in Painting with Rainbows - A Michael Foreman Exhibition.
But don't worry, even after all this hard work, we are all still friends! So What's New? You can read all about our three new exhibitions here, but that's not all that's changed
