Covid-19 has had a huge impact on babies and new parents who haven’t had the usual support network of friends, family and social groups.

Story sessions in community spaces support babies’ well-being, communication and social & emotional development (and the grown-ups have fun too!).

Sarah Cotton, Creative Producer for Partnerships at Seven Stories, tells us more:

"We've been running fun story sessions at family centres in Washington and Stanley designed to support babies born during lockdown, giving them opportunities to socialise and build those all important communication skills they may have missed out on due to the pandemic. A huge thank you to the LNER Customer and Community Investment Fund for supporting this important work."
