From 3-9 December 2018, we are opening our doors to offer free tea and biscuits plus 10% bookshop discount to National Lottery players.

We will be throwing open our doors for free tea and biscuits plus a special 10% discount in our bookshop to National Lottery players during the week of 3-9 December 2018. We are one of hundreds of participating National Lottery-funded visitor attractions across the UK saying ‘thanks’ to people who have raised money for good causes by buying a lottery ticket.

The idea is simple: if you present a National Lottery ticket or scratchcard between 3 - 9 December 2018 gets a free cup of tea and biscuits in return, plus you will enjoy 10% discount in the bookshop.

Seven Stories, the National Centre for Children’s Books has received £341,500 from the Heritage Lottery Fund.  The money has enabled Seven Stories to acquire inspirational artwork and manuscripts by Britain’s leading writers and illustrators for children and to bring this to life through exhibitions and events at Seven Stories and further afield.

The National Lottery

National Lottery players raise, on average, £30 million each week for projects all over the country. In total £38 billion has been raised for Good Causes since The National Lottery began in 1994 and more than 535,000 individual grants have been made across the UK, the majority (70 per cent) of which are for £10,000 or less, helping small projects make a big difference in their community!

The Heritage Lottery Fund

Thanks to National Lottery players, we invest money to help people across the UK explore, enjoy and protect the heritage they care about - from the archaeology under our feet to the historic parks and buildings we love, from precious memories and collections to rare wildlife.
