Our Current Exhibition
From Toad Hall to Pooh Corner
Amble down to Seven Stories this summer and you’ll be sure to stumble across some old friends and familiar faces. From Badger, Mole and Ratty to Eeyore, Piglet and Pooh visitors can spend the day relaxing on the riverbank just outside the heart of Newcastle.
The latest exhibition delivered by Seven Stories, From Toad Hall to Pooh Corner, is made in collaboration with Templar publishing and celebrates the Centenary edition of The Wind in the Willows with illustrations from Robert Ingpen. This enchanting exhibition will explore Kenneth Grahame’s The Wind in the Willows (1908) and A A Milne’s Winnie-the-Pooh (1926) and The House at Pooh Corner (1928).
Venture through the wild wood to Badger’s Kitchen, ride in Toad’s car and relax on the riverbank with Mole and Ratty. Discover Centenary edition illustrations by Robert Ingpen, with facsimiles of The Wind in the Willows manuscript material by Kenneth Grahame.
Visitors can go on their own adventure with Winnie the Pooh and friends. They can visit Pooh Corner, search for Heffalumps and Woozles, explore Owl’s House and admire original illustrations by E H Shepard.
The exhibition will open to the public on 12 July 2008 in the Robert Westall Gallery on Level 5 at Seven Stories and run for twelve months.
Schools packages will be available from September 2008, contact our school bookings team on 0845 271 0777 or email schools@sevenstories.org.uk
