Hooks into Books - What You Neeed to Know
“I love Hooks Into Books. The selection is great, they are books I might not normally choose or even know about, but the packs put them right into your hands. When stuck for time to research exactly what is out there Hooks Into Books does it for you. The information they come with is really useful too, and can send us off in lots of directions. The children love receiving the packs and even the more reluctant older boys can’t wait to see what has arrived. The impact in school has been huge.”
Carol Wilson, Headteacher, Fellgate Primary School, Jarrow.

Judith Kerr Teacher's Resource Pack
"[The Judith Kerr pack] has provided at least a half-term's worth of work. It struck the balance perfectly between informative and allowing a teacher's individual creativity to shape the activities." - Lisa Lowery, Percy Main School, Newcastle upon Tyne
"Next year I plan on using all the stuff from the teacher's pack as part of WWII." - John Carey, Waterville Primary School, North Shields
Inspired by our acclaimed Judith Kerr Exhibition, this pack is designed to give teachers a framework to create an enriched reading experience of Judith's semi-autobiographical novel, When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit, exploring the key themes of the story and the events that inspired it.
The pack contains tips and advice on reading the text, activities to explore and enrich further the themes in the book, as well as signposts to how these activities can enrich and support curriculum skills and knowledge.

* Teacher's notes and guidance.
* Copies of Judith's artwork for use in class activities.
