teacher previews
Attending a teacher preview at Seven Stories is highly recommended to get a real feel for what your group will experience on their visit and for ideas about preparation.
You will meet a member of our education team who will show you school and group workshop activities and also answer any questions you may have. There will be an opportunity to explore the building, browse in our bookshop and find out about school account offers.
Previews are normally held on the second Tuesday of every month at 4.00pm. Each preview lasts approximately one hour.
FREE to teachers and group leaders. Maximum 3 staff per school per preview. Pre-booking required.
Refreshments
We have limited space available to accommodate packed lunches. If you would like food to be provided by our cafe, please speak to a member of our Bookings Team to discuss options.

The Seven Stories Bookshop
Seven Stories' Bookshop is one of the largest independent children's book specialists in the UK, carrying a great selection of books.
It is recommendable to visit the bookshop during your time at Seven Stories, whether for children to browse and choose books to take home, or for group leaders to source the books particularly enjoyed by groups during their visit. Book ownership is a significant factor in raising interest in reading and levels of literacy, but with the high number of books published yearly in the UK alone, it can be difficult to find the right book at the right time. Why not include a bookshop session as part of your visit to Seven Stories and let our experienced bookshop and education staff help your group in making their choices?
As Seven Stories is a registered charity, any purchases made in the bookshop help support the organisation.
buying books for your school
Schools receive 10% discount on orders under £100 and 15% discount on orders over £100 with free delivery on all orders. Once you've set up an account there are several different ways to buy your books.
Entry to the bookshop is free, so why not browse through our titles and chat with our knowledgeable staff about booklists and recommended reads. You can also call or email us with your list of books.
You can download a school account application form from our website or ask next time you visit us.
