CPD at Seven Stories
"The training day was a real success. I walked into the lunch hall today and children were sprawled across the floor, sitting in groups, out in the garden …all engrossed in books. I am thoroughly grateful for the inspiration"Steve WilliamsonExecutive HeadteacherBishop Harland CE Primary School, Sunderland
Welcome to the Seven Stories professional development programme.
We provide training and development for all practitioners working with children, including teachers, librarians, Children’s Centre staff, Private Day Nursery teams, childminders and museum education officers. All of our training is suffused with our love of and passion for children’s books, our knowledge of classic and unusual titles and our creative approaches to learning. Our in-house programme provides a variety of options for you. You will learn more about our creative approach to books and reading, explore the resources available and take away personalised booklists. Sessions at Seven Stories include a tour of the celebrated Seven Stories Visitor Centre. Whether you want to maximise the impact of books in your practice or wish to expand and refresh the range of books you currently use in your work, Seven Stories' CPD programme offers plenty of opportunities for you.
The Seven Stories team love to discover the very best children’s books. The expert members of the bookshop team are always on hand to answer questions and find books for you. Our bookshop is one of the the largest independent, specialist children's bookshops in the country. Bookshop account customers receive competitive discounts, and free shipping on all orders.
We can also provide tailor-made training for your staff team, in a setting of your choice.
