Ages 5 -7 - Key Stage One
If your focus is children aged 5 to 7, there are many ways you can enrich their reading with visits, outreach, CPD and book buying.
Visits to Seven Stories
At the heart of all our visits are the creative interests of the child and their own story making. All visits harness the inspiration of books, illustration and our exhibitions to extend and develop thinking, dialogue, creative and critical thinking - not to mention fun and inspiration!
Stories, Imagination and Me Inspired by the original manuscripts and illustrations in our unique exhibitions. Choose from an illustration and drama workshop focussing on the Anthony Browne gallery and his book My Brother, or a creative writing and drama workshop looking at Jacky Wilson's Cliffhanger. Sessions are 2 hours, with an hour workshop and an hour facilitated gallery session.
Family Learning During our family and learning offer, parents/carers and their children have fun engaging in story sharing activities inspired by the books featured in our exhibitions. This session is inclusive and focuses on pictures to tell stories.
