Our Chapter One Founders are people who have made an outstanding contribution to establishing Seven Stories as Britain’s only gallery and archive dedicated to children’s literature, through their generosity in sharing their time and expertise, through significant donations of money which enabled Seven Stories to be built or significant donations of archive material that enabled the early development of the Seven Stories’ Collection.
They include our founders Elizabeth Hammill & Mary Briggs, who had the original idea for the centre and made it a reality.
Friends of Seven Stories are people who are passionate about children’s books and support what we doing to safeguard our rich tradition of children’s literature and bring young people and great books together.
