Enid Blyton Fund

ENID BLYTON'S GIFT TO SEVEN STORIES

A fantastic new £¾m fund to benefit the work of Seven Stories has been founded thanks to the Enid Blyton Trust for Children.  Its Trustees have decided to wind up the Enid Blyton Trust for Children and donate its assets to set up a permanent fund for Seven Stories at the Community Foundation, Tyne & Wear and Northumberland. This new endowment fund will support Seven Stories’ learning & participation work for years to come, inspiring children from different walks of life to enjoy reading and the life opportunities that this brings.

Seven Stories already holds the largest public collection of Enid Blyton material after successfully purchasing typescripts for nine of Enid Blyton’s best known novels, including three Famous Five titles, Last Term at Malory Towers and Look Out Secret Seven, at auction in September 2009.

Our fundraising ambition is to grow our endowment to £5m, building a more secure future for Seven Stories and our mission to protect, share and celebrate our precious literary inheritance for children with generations to come. You can help us meet this exciting challenge by making a donation or joining our Friends Scheme – or by calling Amanda Beckham, Development & Fundraising Manager to discuss other opportunities for support.
