We need your help

Seven Stories needs your support to help us bring the joy of reading to as many children as possible. There are many ways you can help - through our Friends scheme, charitable donations, volunteering, corporate partnerships and legacy bequests.

Share our celebrations and help us meet the Catalyst Challenge!

Seven Stories has some good news to share and a great opportunity for you to help us in our next big challenge.

We’re National – it’s official!

We’ve recently been awarded national accreditation by Arts Council England, which means we are now officially called the ‘National Centre for Children’s Books’. This makes us the only museum in the north east to officially be ‘national’ and reflects our value and reputation as a regional treasure on the national map. The new title doesn’t bring additional funds and we’ll have to work extra hard to meet the high expectations of ‘national’ status. To do this we’ve set ourselves a new challenge on the back of more good news…

Catalyst Challenge

Seven Stories has recently been accepted onto Arts Council England’s Catalyst Scheme, which means any money we raise will be match funded – so we get double the money! Any donations you make – whether one-off contributions of any size, or by joining our Friends scheme – will be doubled.

Seven Stories is doing something special. The many thousands of children, young people, families, teachers, authors and illustrators who join in the things that we do, have told us this. But we can’t do it by ourselves. Your help matters. For more information click here
