Welcome to Seven Stories

Save •  Celebrate  • Share

Seven Stories is the National Centre for Children's Books. We select original artwork and manuscripts - from first scribbles to finished books - to create our innovative exhibitions and popular events.

Seven Stories celebrates children's books. How books are made, where they come from and how we can enjoy and share them. It's a great day out for the whole family!

Everyday is Story Time

We love sharing and telling stories - and there are thousands to choose from! Every day our  storytellers captivate young and old with tales from our favourite books (10.30am, 12.30pm and 3.30pm). We bring books to life through playful activities and exhibitions, displaying real artwork and manuscripts from famous children's authors and illustrators.

Join in with creative craft activities and make your own special creations to take home seven days a week.

Exciting Events

We have a packed year round events programme for all ages - including visiting authors, illustrators, workshops, talks, performances and much more. Click here to download our Spring Event schedule.

Annual Pass

An Annual Pass is great value, you can visit Seven Stories as many times as you like! Pass holders are the first to hear about special events and offers. Click here to find out more.

We need your help to bring the joy of reading to as many children as possible. Seven Stories is a charity - all the money we raise is used to save, celebrate and share the wonderful world of children's books.
